I spent the morning watching the Macy’s Day parade with my kids, lounging with my coffee and toast (and my birds.)
I gave a wide berth to the dead and pathetically naked turkey that was parked on my kitchen counter.
(Gratefully, he has now taken up residence inside my oven, no thanks to me.)
My babies have trashed the house, no one has showered, the kitchen is pulvarized…and yet…
This is a wonderful day.
I have so much to be thankful for and I’m really just enjoying the moment.
I love being Home.
I am so grateful not to have to travel for this (or any) holiday.
Home is where the heart is, yes?
Yes.
I do have lots of family and friends who are making the pilgrimmage to where their own loved ones are gathered and to them I say: travel safe.
I’m hoping that all drivers and pilots (and cruise ship captains–miss you, Jenny!) are on their best behavior this weekend.
See? I’m always thinking of you :)
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!
